Graf this, losers!

From my recently delivered "DIVERCiTY" magazine from the St Kilda Council (I don't know how many St Kilda residents actually go diving regularly, but whatever):

"Have you noticed the new murals on the pedestrian route..." near the front of my place "...The murals aim to improve the presentation of the laneway and make the idea of walking more attractive and safer for local residents."

Okay, let's get a couple of things straight about this.

1. It is not a 'mural'. It is graffiti. It isn't art, it's vandalism.

2. It doesn't improve the presentation of the laneway, it ruins it. Cleaning the laneway up would possibly be a good start to improving its presentation.

3. It doesn't make one feel safe. The idea that some ice-freak with a spraycan could pop up from around a corner and hold you up for loose change is the only feeling this promotes. Try locking up graffiti artists and getting them off the streets and I'm sure people would feel a lot safer.

Man, is our council on drugs?

How could you not feel re-assured by the presence of Optimus Prime - leader of the Autobots, who has saved the whole planet on numerous occasions (most recently seen in the documentary Transformers 2 - Revenge of the fallen)?

Maybe if it was Megatron I could see your point.

Perhaps I should have made clear that the image selected for my post is not representative of the graffiti just gone up in the referred laneway.

And I was never a fan of Transformers anyways. ;)
